STANDARD RATES include:
Collision Damage Waiver Insurance (CDW) and Theft/Fire Protection Insurance (TPI),
with a deductible/excess of 300 €+ VAT for the first 4
categories and 500 €+VAT for all the other categories (these excess amounts are
plus 19%
VAT). Standard rates do not cover glass, tyres and underside of cars.

SUPER-FULL INCLUSIVE RATES include:
Full Collision Damage Waiver Insurance (CDW) and Theft/Fire Protection Insurance
(TPI), with no excess.

including glass, tyres, underside of car (Negligent off-road use of car

Insurance is voided
when: a) driving the car off-road or on unpaved roads negligently or without due
care and attention, b) car is driven in violation of Greek
Traffic Law (e.g. ignoring stop signs or red traffic lights, driving under the
influence of alcohol or drugs).
Extras:

1-day rentals include 150 km free kilometres.
Extra kilometres for 1-day rentals cost 0.26-0.70 €/km, depending on
car category and season.

Each delivery or collection in outlying
areas/hotels:
- Elounda, Agios Nikolaos, Paleochora: 17 €+VAT
- Sitia: 30 €+VAT
- Any other outside of Heraklion/Chania city limits (10 km): 0.20
€+VAT per km (minimum charge: 12.50 €+VAT)

Greece, have offices
in Heraklion, Chania (and other areas of Greece).

Cars can be delivered to you in many parts of Crete, at the airports, ports
and even at your hotel
or villa.

It is also possible to return your car at a
different location to the pickup point. For
Heraklion to Chania and vice versa, this is free of charge.
Rental duration
Rental days are calculated on a 24-hour basis, with
a grace period of 3 hours (later return will mean an extra day is
charged).
How you
pick up your car
A Thrifty car rental employee will meet you at the arranged
location (e.g. airport, as you come out of the arrivals hall), holding
up a sign showing your name. Or receive the car at your hotel.
Drivers will need to show their passport and a valid credit card in
their own name when they pick up the car.
Petrol/fuel
Your car is delivered with at least half a tank of
petrol. If you return it with less, you are charged for the difference.
If you return it with more, there is no refund on unused fuel.
If you would like your car to be delivered with a full tank of petrol (e.g. because you have a long journey), please advise us and it will be
arranged.You can then return the car with a full tank, or pay for the difference.
How you pay
Payment is made by credit card. Accepted credit
cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express.
The rental contract will be signed and you will show
your credit card to the Thrifty employee who will meet you with your
car.
Driver's age & licence
Driver(s) must be 21 years old or more. A valid driving license must have been held
for at least 12 months before the start of the rental.
European driving licenses and other licenses showing information in the
English language are accepted.
